Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group are pleased to welcome Leonard Copertino, MD, to Roane Surgical Group, a surgical provider that treats conditions of the digestive, reproductive and endocrine systems.
Dr. Copertino specializes in general surgery, primarily performing hernia repairs, gallbladder surgeries, appendectomies and colectomies. He will perform endoscopies at Roane Surgical Group, adding a new surgical option for patients experiencing digestive issues.
Dr. Copertino completed his surgical residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada. He is board-certified in general surgery.
When not performing surgery, Dr. Copertino enjoys traveling, fly fishing, skiing, photography and woodworking. He is married with five children and has three dogs: two Malamutes and a Golden Retriever.
