Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Covenant Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provides emergency and non-emergency intra-facility transport and urgent patient transfer transports. Our EMS works closely with all Covenant medical centers as well as several non-Covenant facilities to ensure that advanced-level transport options are available when needed.
Covenant Health EMS ensures rapid response with specially trained personnel and a fleet of vehicles that are equipped with cutting-edge technology. The Covenant Health EMS team improves patient care and outcomes, supports post-discharge planning, staffs Advanced Care at Home, and enhances community engagement.

Based in Knox County, our EMS fleet services the Covenant system with intra-facility transports between these facilities:

Vehicle Capabilities
Our vehicles are equipped with Advanced Life Support and staffed with paramedics and emergency medical technicians who have advanced training in transport and medical interventions. Our fleet includes:
- One 24-hour ambulance—BLS/ALS equipped
- One 12-hour ambulance—BLS/ALS equipped
- One wheelchair van (operating M-F)
