Pharmacy Residency Program
As a participant in Covenant Health’s Pharmacy Practice Residency, you can accelerate your growth in both direct patient care and pharmacy practice management.
Key features of the residency:
- Requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program
- Twelve months of postgraduate training at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, an acute-care hospital offering a wide range of medical services located in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee
- The opportunity to work with the program director to develop a customized program plan based on your goals and interests, plus opportunities available within Covenant Health, the area’s largest employer and healthcare delivery system.

Nurse Residency Program
Covenant Health’s Nurse Residency Program supports newly graduated nurses to help them successfully transition from an educational setting to a fast-paced hospital environment. Nurses in the residency program have opportunities to develop their clinical and leadership skills in a supportive environment with experienced preceptors, as well as interacting with and learning from other nurses and program participants.

Family Medicine Residency
Family medicine is crucial in promoting health and well-being across diverse communities. In 2024, Covenant Health launched the Methodist Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program, an accredited, university-affiliated program committed to excellence in training family medicine physicians. Residents receive practical experience at the new Methodist Family Medicine Clinic in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, along with participating in research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
