March 2025 – Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group are pleased to welcome Heartland Primary Care, a primary care practice located in New Tazewell.
Heartland Primary Care, formerly UT Primary Care – Heartland, offers comprehensive medical services from wellness exams and the treatment of acute illnesses like cold and flu to caring for chronic health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Heartland Primary Care is staffed by Charles DeBusk, MD; Luis Pannocchia, MD; and Angela Thornsbury, RN, MSN, FNP-C.
Dr. DeBusk earned his medical degree at the Facultad de Medicina Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed his internal medicine residency at St. John Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Pannocchia attended UTESA School of Medicine in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania. He completed his family practice residency at East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Thornsbury graduated from Lincoln Memorial University’s Caylor School of Nursing MSN-FNP program, where she also earned her ASN and BSN degrees.
All providers are accepting new patients.
