Jacquelyn Alt, RN, MBA
Jacquelyn Alt, RN, MBA, has been named the new chief nursing officer of Parkwest Medical Center, a member of Covenant Health. Alt was previously serving as vice president and chief nursing officer at Methodist Medical Center, a sister facility of Parkwest. She brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to the hospital.
In her two years at Methodist, Alt improved patient experience and outcomes in the emergency department, improved safety and quality measurements, and implemented interdisciplinary rounding in med-surg departments, resulting in reduced patient length of stays. Alt also restructured the nursing relationships with academic partners, resulting in an increase of nursing clinical and preceptorship requests, more new graduate hires and improved nursing retention.
“Our teams at Parkwest and Peninsula are excited to welcome Jacque to our facilities,” said Devan Johnson, president and chief administrative officer of Parkwest. “We look forward to her wealth of experience, leadership abilities and passion for nursing that she’ll bring to our team.”
“I am excited to join a team of highly engaged physicians and team members,” said Alt. “I look forward to fulfilling Covenant Health’s mission by providing exceptional health care to the communities Parkwest serves.”
Prior to joining Methodist Medical Center, Alt was the vice president and chief nursing officer for WellStar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, and managed the neuro-endovascular stroke and neuro-surgical care units, emergency services and women’s services.
Alt holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in healthcare management from Indiana Wesleyan University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing.
