It’s hard to believe it’s already April! I don’t know about you, but the first quarter of the year has flown by quickly. Even throughout the hardships of 2020, our vision remains strong for the organization. You can read more about our vision, mission, values, and objectives here. That being said, I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting projects our Learning and Leadership Development Department will be working on for you during the second quarter of 2021.
Retention: As we all know, this is a tremendous opportunity for our organization. We will be partnering with Talent Acquisition and some of you to create retention committees within given areas. The purpose of the committee will be to act as a “check-in” with a new employee during their first 6 months. Coupled with this, we will be launching a formal buddy/mentoring program which will aid in retention as well. ETA for these components is Q2. We are also exploring options for conducting a retention boot camp. More to come!
Leader Blueprint: We are working on a guide that will showcase things that leaders need to know during their first year with Covenant Health. It will include everything from our leadership core competencies to performance management. It will be a guided journey to help set leaders up for success. ETA is Q2.
360° Reviews: We will be conducting 360° reviews for the director level beginning in April. Information will be sent out in the next couple of weeks if your participation is requested.
Hybrid Learning: Our learning management team has been working hard to create a hybrid training offering. We realize some folks love zoom while others … not so much. Therefore, we’ll soon be able to offer the best of both worlds. Once we’re able to host students, we’ll have a small student population and also a zoom audience. This will allow for greater interactivity with zoom participants as well as an in-person feel. ETA April.
Videos / Podcasts: We are excited to be launching a few new videos during Q2 as well as some podcasts. And so I don’t spoil the surprise, I won’t provide details. However, we are very excited to be partnering with some fantastic folks in the organization to put together this educational format for our employees.
Much more to come; however, we wanted to offer you a glimpse into our world. We’d love your feedback. If you have any suggestions on areas where we can improve, offer services, etc., please drop us a note.
Thank you from all of us in LLD! We look forward to a fantastic second quarter!
