Congratulations to Greg Curtis from Transport Services for being presented with the BEE Award. He was nominated for the kindness he showed a patient and her daughter during their ER visit. Read his nomination below:
Greg’s Nomination
“I accompanied my 92-year-old mother on a trip to the ER. We spent the following 12 hours residing in the hall. During our time in the hallway, I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Greg in transport. Literally we crossed paths every time he brought patients to and from every direction possible.
I was struck by his positive disposition, his humor used to put patients at ease, and his obvious desire to want people to feel better. Although Greg did not have to transport my mother at any point during the stint in the ER, he interacted with me every single time he passed me during our wait.
His kindness in making me laugh, smile and remain composed and tolerant was a blessing. I hugged him when he finished his shift at 12:30 a.m. and told him how grateful I was for him being a bright spot in a less than desirable situation. He was thoughtful and kind to me and my mother, even though we were not his responsibility. I want him to know how much he was appreciated that evening, and I hope he is appreciated at Parkwest all of the time!”
