Sarah’s Nomination:

“Three words I would like to use to describe our experience with Sarah: Competent, comical and caring. When my dad was in the hospital, Sarah was a ray of sunshine and she offered hope and compassion.

She competently explained what was going on medically and why the doctor had ordered certain things. It was great to have a nurse who knew what was going on and understood the reasoning behind the doctor’s orders and how she could help my dad.

Sarah also shows she cares. She brings a sense of joy to nursing, clearly loves her patients and always took a moment to check-in with my dad and our family. She has a sense of being present and we felt seen and heard and not like one more check box on the list.

When Sarah was around, it was great to know that she would be able to answer our questions and truly address our issues. Her upbeat demeanor was the icing on the cake. Thank you, Sarah!
