Covenant Health Park Opens in April, Welcoming Knoxville Smokies to New Home

March 2025 – Excitement is building as Covenant Health Park prepares to open next month in downtown Knoxville’s historic Old City. The state-of-the-art, multi-use stadium officially debuts April 15 with the Knoxville Smokies’ first home game in the new facility.  

A Ballpark . . . and Much More

Covenant Health Park isn’t just a ballpark. The dynamic community hub will host both Knoxville Smokies (MiLB) baseball games and One Knox SC (USL1) soccer matches. It will also host concerts, festivals, and other major events. With seating for 7,000 sports fans and accommodations for 10,000 at special events, the stadium is set to become a premier entertainment destination in East Tennessee. 

Covenant Health Park blends modern sustainability with historic charm. It features a Tennessee-shaped scoreboard, a signature water tower, and connections to the city’s greenway system. Enhanced pedestrian pathways and streetscape improvements will seamlessly link the stadium to downtown Knoxville, creating a walkable, vibrant space for residents and visitors.
