BEE Award Winner: Penny Borden
Congratulations to Penny Borden in the Emergency Department for being presented with the BEE Award. Penny was nominated by a patient’s family member. Read her nomination below:
Penny’s Nomination

“During a 3-day stay in the Emergency Department, four family members were taking turns being with the patient. A very stressful time for us, as the patient was psychotic.
Penny’s consistent presence was reassuring because, even though that desk gets so busy, she always recognized me. She remembered who we were seeing and quickly checked us in and out.
All the desk staff in the Emergency Department were very good, but I single out Penny for her kindness at a difficult and emotional time. Well done.”
