Jeanne-Marie’s Nomination:

Jeanne-Marie Larue pictured holding her BEE certificate and flowers.

“Jeanne-Marie is an excellent team player, patient advocate, and hard worker. Jeanne-Marie is always helping staff and patients. For example, she covered the outpatient IOP program for several months last year to allow patients continued access to services, she often comes to the floor to be an additional staff on the unit, she intervenes in the milieu when needed to de-escalate patients and support staff efforts, she volunteers to help with transports and other tasks, and she provides the best clinical care she can to each patient.

Beyond all of this, Jeanne-Marie recently had a patient with a very difficult social and clinical situation. Jeanne-Marie stayed late and came in very early to reach family who had working hours that prevented them from responding during Jeanne-Marie’s regular schedule. She also used her adjusted schedule to observe patient during different parts of the day to provide feedback, education, and consultation to staff to help this patient manage through difficult times. Jeanne-Marie met with the patient multiple times to do individual work as well. Jeanne-Marie kept the unit manager updated of patient status and suggestions for care from the treatment team, which was valuable to providing best care.  Jeanne-Marie played a huge part in helping this patient get better and helping try to set this family up for success at discharge.

Thank you Jeanne-Marie for all that you do here at Peninsula.”
