Applications Open for High School Positions

Covenant Health Fort Loudoun is now accepting applications for Patient Care Support Assistants (PCSA) from eligible high school students (under the age of 18). Newly hired PCSAs will be trained in multiple areas of the medical center, and required to work in a rotation, a beneficial step in experiencing a patient’s hospital visit start to finish. This will also allow our team to disseminate students creating the ability to onboard additional PCSAs.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Support Assistant functions as direct support in patient care performing tasks to assist nurses and providers. Performs hands-on care, assistance with ADLs, and specified technical tasks for a group of patients under the supervision of the nurse. Duties include supporting the Medical Surgical Unit and Emergency Room with patient care, housekeeping, HUC, sitter, and transporting of patients.

Time Requirement

Each student will be required to work at least one weekend a month.
