he Women's Center and Family Birthing Center of Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge will sponsor an educational fair on breast feeding Tuesday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon in the hospital's main lobby.
The event is being held in conjunction with World Breast Feeding Week, which is Aug. 1-7.
Participants including the Methodist Family Birthing Center, LaLeche League, Children's Advocacy Network, March of Dimes, Anderson County Health Department, and East Tennessee Breast Feeding Coalition will distribute informational materials. The information will cover breast feeding, breast feeding services in East Tennessee, nutrition for new mothers, breast pumps, and classes for parents of young children.
The event is free, and the public is invited.
