Casi McDaniel, RN, a nurse at Covenant Health Morristown-Hamblen, was honored recently with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the superhuman efforts nurses contribute every day. The DAISY Award was established in 1999 by the family of a patient who had received extraordinary care and compassion from his nurses during his final days.

Congratulations to Casi, who was nominated by a patient for the exceptional care and compassion she demonstrated toward during the patient’s hospital stay.

From Casi’s Nomination:

“I have received exceptional care from Casi,” her nominator said. “I have never felt so important at any other hospital. She pushed me to get to the best health possible. I felt very important and like I received professional care during my stay.”
